AI BATTLES / MODE GUIDE
Choose your battle. Know what wins it.
Mecha War’s single-player battles give you different reasons to change your approach. Focus on one rival in a duel, work with an AI ally in 2v2, or make survival your priority in Battle Royale.
| Mode | Win condition | What to practice |
|---|---|---|
| 1v1 Deathmatch | First to three round wins | Reading a single opponent |
| 2v2 Elimination | Eliminate the opposing pair; no respawns during the round | Staying alive and choosing angles with an ally |
| 2v2 Team Deathmatch | First team to 20 points; one point per kill | Returning to the fight and building team score |
| Battle Royale | Be the last mech standing | Survival and deciding when to engage |
1v1 Deathmatch: learn the exchange
A duel gives you one rival to watch. The first pilot to three round wins takes the match. Use the repeated encounters to notice distance, approach, and timing. If your first plan fails, change one part of your approach in the next round.
This is a useful place to compare a weapon or movement habit because there are fewer competing threats to track.
2v2 Elimination: value the next decision
You fight alongside an AI teammate against two AI opponents. Pilots do not respawn during the round, so surviving an exchange matters. Watch where both opponents are before committing to a chase.
Use cover to limit how many enemies can shoot you at once. An angle that helps your teammate can be more useful than standing directly beside them.
2v2 Team Deathmatch: keep the score moving
The respawning variant awards one team point per kill. The first team to 20 wins. Respawns give you further chances to adjust your approach during the match, while each elimination still contributes to the result.
After returning to the battlefield, take a moment to locate your ally and the next threat. Repeating the same route without checking the situation can put you straight back into the same difficult exchange.
Battle Royale: choose when to fight
Battle Royale brings one life, equipment decisions, and a battlefield that closes over time. The goal is to be the last mech standing. Chasing every target is not always useful: consider the route to safety, nearby threats, and the resources you will have after the fight.

Choose the terrain and challenge
Explore Desert, Forest, City, Canyon, Mountain & River, and Three Bands / Colony. The first five use flat terrain; Three Bands keeps the curved colony setting. Easy, Medium, and Hard AI difficulties let you choose the challenge.
For your first session, learn the core controls and check your loadout slots. Then choose a mode around what you want to practice rather than trying to learn every rule at once.
